From The Desk of the Mayor

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as your Mayor.

As a lifelong resident of Long Beach and someone who has dedicated much of my life to public service, including time as an Alderman, School Board President, and NASA division chief. I am deeply committed to our city's future. Long Beach is a place filled with promise, and now is the time to act on that potential.

My administration will prioritize smart growth, responsible development, and strategic investment in our infrastructure, businesses, and neighborhoods. We are embarking on exciting projects that will shape the future of Long Beach, including:

  • Revitalizing our harbor and rebuilding the iconic Jeff Davis pier

  • Annexing the Long Beach Industrial Park to attract new economic opportunities

  • Developing a walkable business district that seamlessly connects neighborhoods to downtown

  • Strengthening partnerships to support our schools and infrastructure

  • Creating a business-friendly environment that fosters entrepreneurship and job creation

These goals are more than just plans, they are commitments to our community and the values that make Long Beach a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

My wife, Tina, and I have proudly called Long Beach home for over 34 years. We’ve raised our four children here and now enjoy watching our six grandchildren grow up in a city we love dearly.

I am grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, and I look forward to working alongside our residents, business owners, and community partners to build a stronger, more connected Long Beach.

The future starts now.

Sincerely,
Mayor Tim Pierce
