In Long Beach, we celebrate shopping and eating locally for Shop Small Saturday with Long Beach's Shop Small Passport.

The 3rd Annual Long Beach Shop Small Passport begins on Saturday, November 30th. We encourage all community members to support our local business this holiday season. The Shop Small Passport will begin on Saturday, November 30th and conclude on Saturday, December 7th. Individuals can pick up a passport at one of the participating businesses in Long Beach.

As an individual purchases an item from a business, each business will stamp/sign the passport on top of their business name. After individuals complete the passport, passports can be turned in to enter to win prizes.

What is Small Business Saturday?

 In 2010, American Express founded Small Business Saturday to help businesses with their most pressing need — getting more customers. The day encourages people to shop at small businesses and dine in locally owned restaurants on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to kick-off the holiday shopping season. The single day has grown into a powerful movement, and more people are taking part than ever before.

What does it mean to Shop Small? 

Shopping “small” simply means to fulfill shopping, dining, and service needs at a smaller, locally owned business, especially on Small Business Saturday.
