The Long Beach Art Competition is open to students who reside in the Long Beach School District. The over-all winners of the city's competition will be displayed for one year in the Long Beach City Hall. 

​

Art works entered in the contest may be up to 26” x 26” x 4”, including the frame. The art work may be:

• Paintings - including oil, acrylics, and watercolor

• Drawings - including pastels, colored pencil, pencil, charcoal, ink, and markers

• Collage

• Prints - including lithographs, silkscreen, and block prints

• Mixed Media

• Photography

All entries must be an original in concept, design and execution. 

The Long Beach Art Competition began in 2023 to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of young Long Beach residents.

DEADLINE

October 6, 2023 – Artwork Submission Deadline 

                                                              

All entries must be submitted to the Long Beach City Hall to Courtney Cuevas or emailed (courtney.cuevas@cityoflongbeachms.com). The submission should include a high resolution image of the artwork and the application forms. Late submissions or submissions without the appropriate form will not be accepted.
